HueForge Standard Mode Workflow — Avatar Fire Nation

Most people reach straight for Color Match on an image like this Avatar: The Last Airbender Fire Nation poster. I went the other way — full Standard Mode — to prove a point: Standard Mode is cooler than you think. The only real compromise is the blue fire in Azula's hands; everything else comes from reading the image by brightness, dropping a tight fire palette on the Color Core, and cleaning it up with SpotFix.

The Standard Mode cheat sheet

1. Standard Mode reads BRIGHTNESS — dark areas sit low in the Color Core, light areas sit high.
2. You don't always need Color Match — Standard is the base of everything else in HueForge.
3. Drop a tight palette on the Color Core — for fire, that's black → red → orange → yellow.
4. Red sits great just above black — they blend into rich, deep shadows.
5. Tune the Brightness Adjust to pull detail out of busy areas (try 0.2 → 0.1).
6. SpotFix grainy spots — select a region, then click Flat. About five seconds each.
7. Add a neutral like beige to neutralize the yellow and correct skin tones.
